Anchor-Assisted Channel Estimation for Intelligent Reflecting Surface Aided Multiuser Communication

چکیده

Channel estimation is a practical challenge for intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) aided wireless communication. As the number of IRS elements or IRS-aided users increases, channel training overhead becomes excessively high, which results in long delay and low throughput data transmission. To tackle this challenge, we propose paper new anchor-assisted approach, where two anchor nodes, namely A1 A2, are deployed near facilitating its base station (BS) acquiring cascaded BS-IRS-user channels required Specifically, first scheme, partial state information (CSI) on element-wise gain square common BS-IRS link all obtained at BS via feedback. Then, by leveraging such CSI, efficiently resolved with additional users. While second BS-IRS-A1 A1-IRS-A2 estimated A1. estimate their individual A2-IRS-user simultaneously. Based CSI fed back from A2 users, resolves efficiently. In both schemes, among fixed BS, IRS, anchors large timescale, greatly reduces real-time overhead. Simulation demonstrate that our proposed schemes achieve superior performance as compared to existing under various setups. addition, scheme outperforms one when antennas sufficiently large, vice versa.

Adaptive Channel Estimation for Multiuser Underwater Communication Systems

Problem statement: Multiple Access Interference (MAI) signals and poor estimation of the unknown channel parameters in the presence of limited training sequences are two of the major problems that degrade the systems’ performance. Genetic Algorithm Assisted Channel Estimation for Multi-user Communication Systems

A novel multiuser code division multiple access (CDMA) channel estimator based on genetic algorithm is considered which estimates the fading channel impulse response coefficients of all the users. Furthermore, the optimum multiuser detector, based on the maximum likelihood (ML) rule, is developed in order to identify the transmitted data sequence. As is demonstrated in simulation results, the p...

Channel Estimation for CDMA Multiuser Detection

In this paper, we derive and evaluate a demodulation scheme in code division multiple access (CDMA) systems, which adaptively estimates hyperparameter (such as noisy channel property) based on Bayesian inference method. To avoid the computational difficulty from Bayesian inference, we resort the approximation which is known as belief propagation. We evaluate the performance of the proposed demo...

A Lattice Reduction-aided Information Precoder for Multiuser Communication System

Recent demand for high rate of information transmission in wireless communication has resulted in multiple-input/multiple output (MIMO) systems which offer high spectral efficiency. Though massive Multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO) system introduces interference, it produces a considerable increase in capacity by the use of large number of transmit and receive antennas to communicate with multiple users...
